​Nikan Bergsmo Namdar has her roots in music. Her first teacher was her own mother who was an opera singer. She began her education at the Academy of Music in Piteå but later continued at the Conservatory of Music in Prague where she graduated in classical singing.

She has given concerts in different parts of the world with repertoire from lieder, aria and oratorio. She has also released a CD - Nordic Songs. In her interpretations, she blends European classical tradition with her ethnic and cultural expressions. In recent years, Nikan Bergsmo Namdar has focused on lieder repertoire. She performs both well established works, songs from different continents and modern music.

Today she lives in Västerås with her family where she has performed concerts with the Vestmannia ensemble at the concert hall. Now she and pianist Ulla Schuback perform in various events in Sweden and around the world.
